Energetic Boundaries are a foundational part of wellness

Long ago, as I was beginning to awaken to the truth of who I AM and the truths of what was not real or highly distorted, I also became aware of people pleasing habits, fawn and freeze responses (before I knew that’s what they were called), and how these ways of being had formed in childhood as a way for my nervous system to support me. It also became clear that there was a connection between some of my chronic illnesses and lack of or confusion with boundaries.

One day, I was in a doctor’s office to review lab work and talk about the Lyme and co-infections that were creating havoc and pain in my body and mental landscape. She picked something up off her desk and said, “here, take this” and without thinking or feeling into it, I did. Only after I had the object in my hand did I wonder why. I was unconsciously deferring power and doing what I felt was expected, without pause, reflection, or any kind of check in with myself first. I was inadvertently carrying and holding things for other people that weren’t mine to hold or carry. Coming into a conscious awareness of that propensity and habitual nervous system response allowed for a great shift. It was a contributing factor (not the only one, but a big part) in the severe MCS and anaphylactic allergic & autoimmune responses I was having to nearly every environment, every manufactured scent, and every person. I wasn’t aware, but the extreme sensitivities were a sign of not only confusion with energetic boundaries in my body and immune response, but also an indicator of the expanding “gifts” turning on. I was sensing everything, I was allowing a taking of my energy without realization, I was suppressing my intuitive nature, and it was too much for my systems at that time. However, becoming aware was a powerful first step that began the change process.

I signed up for a Reiki class shortly thereafter in order to try energy work on myself as a means to reclaim my own power of being and my own healing abilities. I was familiar with it from the 90s, but wasn’t called to it until I was desperately ill and tired of relying on other systems to help me when none of it was working. Instead of feeling better, I kept getting worse. Reiki and my shift in the awareness changed everything, and it was a catalyst and a stable base Flow for all that has consciously awakened in me since that time, including more harmonious immune responses and the ability to be and sustain general wellness. Because of the re-connection to my infinite (spiritual) Self, I got to experience freedom in more ways than I could have imagined.

That was many years ago, and was truly a different life. I’m no longer that person. I do continue to learn and practice different levels of boundary awareness. But the ability to see and feel my energy Field helped me to learn well how to practice maintaining my personal energetic Field to keep it as clean, strong, connected, and free as possible. I had to learn this to stay well. As my physical and mental wellness increased, the multidimensional aspects of me turned on more too and all of a sudden I was having conscious experiences of numerous realms and beings and energies. I had to learn even more ways of energetic alignment and practice of purity as a conduit and transducer. It was complex and beautiful and also challenging in many ways. These practices are always useful in every stage of expansion or contraction.

If you’ve known me a while, you may be familiar with parts of this story I’ve shared before. I recount it because we all have life stories that are pivotal and a key marker in our multidimensional atlas of Self as experienced in the physical (and non-physical). There are a few stories that I mention often because they were key change/choice points. And because I feel it helps support all levels of awakening to share experiences of vulnerability, frustration, and limitation, which are all part of the varied potentials and duality spaces on this gorgeous planet. It’s not all bliss and unicorns, though those frequencies and realms within exist at the same time. I also share all of this because I’m beginning to offer classes in order to support the expansions taking place within this lovely community of open Hearts and fellow practitioners. I call them offerings when possible because it is a sharing of direct experience, a Heart offering with the intention of continued expansion of service to support the ascension process (conscious evolutionary expansion).

As all around us in the physical becomes more unstable and unpredictable, and as we continue expanding and creating anew amidst chaos and loss, let us be in practice together, each opening to and sharing the unique essence of Self. Let us care for ourselves (and community) tenderly, as appropriate with strong energetic boundaries, and with intuitive prowess, tending to our inner energetic landscape as the rich space within harmonizes, nourishes, strengthens, and supports these processes.

We are all so much more than we could have ever known before. When there is an understanding of at least part of the energetic systems, more empowered practice and stability can take place here in this physical realm our bodies are in. May you honor your divine nature within as I honor you. And may you also honor your physical nature and emotional landscape (also divine) by getting to know your energetic system more intimately.
